LT Orchestras

Led by Director of Orchestra Anna Macias, the Lake Travis High School Orchestra is one of the leading orchestras in the Hill Country. Many LTHS students also perform in extracurricular orchestras like the Austin Youth Orchestra and the LT Fiddlers.

The Hudson Bend Orchestra is led by the fantastic and incredible Director Nicole Parajillo. She is a passionate cello player (and also plays piano!) and shares her love of music with her students. Ms. Pajarillo is dedicated to inspiring her students and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts. 

The Lake Travis Fiddlers of Lake Travis High School have brought the vibrant sounds of Western Swing to the Texas Hill Country since their founding in 2000. Established by Orchestra Director Anna Macias, this distinguished ensemble features 12–15 student musicians performing on fiddle, guitar, bass, drums, and electric guitar. They remain the only group of their kind in the state of Texas.

The Lake Travis Middle School Orchestra is led by the incredible Man May, who was once a student of Anna Macias! She makes learning how to read music fun and teaches with the perfect dose of competitiveness. Most of her students continue with orchestra at the high school level. 

The Bee Cave Middle School Orchestea is led by James (Jamey) Strauss, a violinist from Austin. ​Jamey is an alumni Lake Travis High School, and was an active member of both the Lake Travis HS Orchestra and the Lake Travis Fiddlers. As a member of the Lake Travis Orchestra, Jamey earned placement into the Texas All-State Orchestra in 2018.
